Rapid City SD's water filters

Rapid City SD's water filters, water softeners and water treatment systems. We are the industry leader in budget priced high quality water softeners, water conditioners, reverse osmosis drinking water purification systems, iron filters, sulfur filters, dirt and sediment filters.

Rapid City uses several sources of water for it's water system. Including two infiltration galleries located along the Rapid Creek alluvium. They are the Meadowbrook Gallery and Girl Scouts Gallery. Eight wells are used that draw water from the Minnelusa and Madison Aquifers. For peak demand times in the summer months surface water is used from Rapid Creek. This source includes the Deerfield and Pactola Reservoirs. The reservoirs supply water to the surface water treatment plant for municipal use and for downstream irrigation use.

Common Minerals

Calcium and magnesium create one of the most notable changes in your water. As a result, these tasteless minerals dissolve in the water and create hard water. Specifically, hard water poses no health risk. Although, it can create numerous challenges for the consumer. The higher the hardness the more effort it takes for soap to perform its cleansing action. Hard water leaves soap deposits in sinks, dishes and glassware. Also, it can create scaly calcium deposits on faucets, shower heads and coolers. An ion exchange water softener removes calcium and magnesium ions by replacing them with sodium or potassium. Water Softener

City Water

Our most popular City Water Softener/Conditioner: Premium Dual Purpose Water Softener Conditioner replaces Culligan®, Sears®, Kinetico®, Ionics®, RainSoft®, EcoWater®, Hague® and virtually all others. Firstly, you can change the media in it if your water changes. Secondly it takes care of taste, smells, odors, dry skin, stiff or coarse clothing, chemicals and soap scum. Thirdly it gives you luxurious suds. Finally, it raises your quality of life (at a fraction of the cost). Basically, one unit does it all without mixing media which is not recommended.

Finally, if you are on a sodium-restricted diet, you may need the addition of a Reverse Osmosis unit starting at just $239. Reverse Osmosis Systems
