Olympia WA's water filters, water softeners and water treatment systems

Olympia water comes from aquifers which are underground deposits of gravel and sand where groundwater is stored. Aquifers are replenished by rainfall that seeps down through the soil.

From September through May, McAllister Springs is the source of water for all City of Olympia customers. From April through August, water use doubles due to outdoor water use. During this time, Olympia uses five wells to supplement McAllister Springs. These are groundwater sources.

The average hardness for Olympia's water is 55-60 mg/L. For more information, contact: 1-800-684-0979.

Common Minerals

Calcium and magnesium create one of the most notable changes in your water. As a result, these tasteless minerals dissolve in the water and create hard water. Specifically, hard water poses no health risk. Although, it can create numerous challenges for the consumer. The higher the hardness the more effort it takes for soap to perform its cleansing action. Hard water leaves soap deposits in sinks, dishes and glassware. Also, it can create scaly calcium deposits on faucets, shower heads and coolers. An ion exchange water softener removes calcium and magnesium ions by replacing them with sodium or potassium. Water Softener

City Water

Our most popular City Water Softener/Conditioner: Premium Dual Purpose Water Softener Conditioner replaces Culligan®, Sears®, Kinetico®, Ionics®, RainSoft®, EcoWater®, Hague® and virtually all others. Firstly, you can change the media in it if your water changes. Secondly it takes care of taste, smells, odors, dry skin, stiff or coarse clothing, chemicals and soap scum. Thirdly it gives you luxurious suds. Finally, it raises your quality of life (at a fraction of the cost). Basically, one unit does it all without mixing media which is not recommended.

Finally, if you are on a sodium-restricted diet, you may need the addition of a Reverse Osmosis unit starting at just $199. Reverse Osmosis Systems
