Specifically, the cities water is supplied by groundwater pumped from 6 well sites located at several locations throughout the city. The wells are between 250-600 feet in depth. Therefore, each well site has disinfecting equipment to protect you against microbial contaminants. Storage tanks and booster pumps are used to pump the water into the distribution system. As a result, the City presently has four (4) million gallons of storage.

Common Minerals

Calcium and magnesium create one of the most notable changes in your water. As a result, these tasteless minerals dissolve in the water and create hard water. Hard water poses no health risk. Although, it can create numerous challenges for the consumer. The higher the hardness the more effort it takes for soap to perform its cleansing action. Hard water leaves soap deposits in sinks, dishes and glassware. Also, it can create scaly calcium deposits on faucets, shower heads and coolers. An ion exchange water softener removes calcium and magnesium ions by replacing them with sodium or potassium. Water Softener
